The lab focuses on four directions: human-computer interaction design, social commerce, big data applications, and human-AI collaboration, all grounded in human-centered design as a shared research method.

Students from information management, industrial design, psychology, or related fields are welcome. Rather than specific skills, we value an interest in user research and a willingness to do hands-on research; programming and statistical skills can be developed in the lab.

Yes — undergraduates usually join as "capstone project students," taking part in semester or graduation projects; master's students join as full researchers, working on complete thesis research and presenting at domestic and international conferences.

Work generally includes progress discussions, literature review, data collection and analysis, with conference presentations or competition entries prepared according to the semester schedule. End-of-semester gatherings are also arranged to give everyone a breather from the intense research pace.

Depending on the topic, we may use surveys and structural equation modeling, eye-tracking (Tobii Pro), AR/VR prototyping (HoloLens 2 and similar devices), as well as general statistics and machine learning methods.

Yes — the lab encourages students to take part in nationwide capstone competitions (such as the Industrial Engineering and Management competition) and on/off-campus hackathons, and to join industry-academia collaboration projects when opportunities arise, to build hands-on experience.
